The label "pushy" is coming dangerously close to applying to Citizens For Access Rights, the non-profit group spearheading the movement to make sure East End beaches remain open to the public. After asking candidates for office to fill out a questionnaire on the matter, the group seemed unhappy that not all did. "Silence is everything in this case," according to Tim Taylor, a founding member of CfAR. One such candidate was Bill Wilkinson. He didn't fill out the candidate because it arrived last minute, but noted, "I thought we said everything when we stood by our resolution for board support for beach access and beach driving." While we remain on team CfAR, we're starting to see why the town board is interested in clamping down on citizen committees. [Patch]
