East Hampton's Highway Superintendent might have spoken too soon when he said that the racial discrimination charges against him been put to rest. On Monday, Scott King sent out a press release announcing that settlements had been reached and the three "politically motivated" suits had been dropped. This was apparently news to Irsan Bonilla and Luis Bahamondes...both are refusing to sign the settlement that absolves Mr. King and the town from any wrongdoing. The one worker who did sign the settlement, Wallace Trotman, is now saying he didn't understand what he was agreeing to and won't sign the final document. This basically means that everything Mr. King said on Monday is wrong. [Patch]
