According to the FAA, low fuel might have been the reason for the plane crash in Sagaponack this summer. After the crash, authorities measured and "the amount of fuel captured was between 6 and 8 ounces, with a small amount of water present." However, the pilot's wife, Sheila Smith, is adamant that's not the case: "It's not a fuel issue." Fortunately, the two men injured in the crash have made a full recovery (even if it sounds like the pilot's ego remains bruised). [Previously, 27 East]
