Wanna Buy A Condo?

Now that an offer has been made on seven town-owned condominiums at 300 Pantigo Place in East Hampton, the town's board has agreed to announce the sale. Hoping to avoid any "appearance of impropriety", the potential buyer requested the town reach out to other parties, allowing them to match the offer. Smart move, as we've seen how seriously people take their politics around here. While there was no amount mentioned, Councilwoman Theresa Quigley mentioned it was close to the $3M market value set by appraisers. The original idea to sell the condominiums was part of the prior administration's plan to help close a $4M budget gap. Better late than never. [East Hampton Star]
