Letters Of Note

Continuing its quest to see something done about the Surf Lodge restaurant, the Montauk Citizens Committee has sent a letter to the two East Hampton Town justices. The letter asks the pair to "take on" the establishment which has, according to the the group, "flagrantly and repeatedly abused the privilege to conduct business." It requests that the court apply the maximim penalty for each of the summer hotspot's individual 640 violations. In an Email response to the continued criticism, Rob McKinley, who runs the restaurant, said, "...no matter what we do, the 'committees' will find bogus claims against us." We have a feeling he's right. [Previously, EH Star]
