Reader Comments

Curbed readers were their usual outspoken selves last week. Here's a quick sampling of some of the more memorable comments:

ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST: "Other EH restaurants are also closing their doors. Turtle Crossing is done and one long-timer is on the market too if one knows whom to ask. Others are wobbling. Who can make a go of it in this economy and lease rates?"

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION: "I'm not so sure that is 'south' of the highway. More like... 'on' the highway."

OUR DELICATE SENSIBILITIES, THEY ARE OFFENDED: "They might get a higher price if they removed some of the non-operable, decorative baby-blue shutters. Puke. I think I just threw up in my mouth."

HIGH PRAISE FOR A MODERN HOME: "The house and setting are unbelievably gorgeous. The house is completely green with geothermal, solar, and sustainable materials."

THERE'S BARGAINS IN THEM THAR HILLS: "I'm all for bottom-fishing.... I bought my place in Springs for 320K in May '09. It's a 1940s cedar-shingled cottage on half an acre and I love it."
