Sand Art

To promote the Hamptons International Film Festival and its screening of his short film "Jim Denevan: Lake Baikal", the artist created a special sand-art installation on Georgica Beach this Sunday. Resembling a beach-friendly crop circle, the work is indicative of the type of temporary sculptures that the land artist is known for. While we know readers may be experiencing a little film festival exhaustion, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to talk about an East End beach without having to use the words "violation", "controversial" and "lawsuit".
