Yesterday, we mentioned that Rick Hoffman is no longer running Corcoran's East End operations. Today we may have found out why. Our sources tell us that for quite some time now, agents have taken issue with how he's been running the region. It wasn't until the defection and return of Ernie Cervi that the floodgates opened and Corcoran's top producers began complaining to the higher-ups about Mr. Hoffman's general lack of responsiveness. After the management fired his secretary and "banish[ed] him to Sag Harbor" a couple of months ago, the SVP finally "resigned" at the beginning of the week. He's expected to remain on board until Friday. If any of our in-the-know readers feel like expanding (or disputing) this description of events, let us know in the comments.
