So, This Exists

Have you ever peered at through your neighbor's hedgerows and wondered, "I wish there was some way I could check to see if they have a past conviction of animal abuse?" Of course you have! Fortunately, Suffolk County SPCA's database of offenders is now live. All you need to do is enter the maybe-guilty party's name and you'll have your answer. Humans terrible enough to be on the registry are required to pay an annual fee of $50 for five years and submit their names, aliases, addresses and photographs to the SPCA. Failure to do so could mean a $1,000 fine and/or up to a year in jail. [Patch]
