Hide Ya Boats

A group of commercial fishing captains now agree that Montauk Harbor can be a dangerous place! Apparently the harbor's "shoal has grown more dangerous because of this winter's string of northeasters." The East Hampton Star takes a close look at the problem, which has made boating in the shallow harbor a lot "like threading a needle." And why's that? Many seem to think it's a combination of the weather and the harbor's east getty, which is causing uneven sand buildup. [EH Star]
