Randy Lerner May Bench Amagansett's Exile for A LT Burger

New, 4 comments

A Curbed Hampton Tipster reports that business mogul Randy Lerner (owner of the Cleveland Browns and this house) is looking to reevaluate his Amagansett restaurant portfolio. To date, the portfolio includes Meeting House, which is currently under renovation, and Exile, which took over where a failed attempt at Mezzaluna left off. Even though both restaurants are doing well, Lerner is "apparently uncomfortable competing with himself across the street at Meeting House." What's a restaurateur to do?! Well, here's what the Tipster heard:

Exile staying opening for few months while Meeting House gets renovated. (Perhaps an expansion?) When ready, they're going to close Exile, but Randy likes the menu and will bring menu ideas to Meeting House. Likely to still be called Meeting House. Then, he's going to lease out the old Exile space to LT Burger. There's one in Sag Harbor.Exile to be exiled, Chef Laurent Tourondel and his burgers headed to Amagansett, and a new take on Meeting House? That's a lot to digest!
