In an opinion piece appearing in Southampton Patch, preservationist super hero Sally Spanburgh explains that, with historic designation, "you can still do 'whatever you want' with your property such as renovate, enlarge, relocate and recolor your house" so long as the Landmarks and Historic Districts Board approves it.
