School's out! In a moment of deja vu, last night's blizzard "dumped an average of 12 inches of snow across the area Tuesday night and Wednesday morning." As usual, the storm brought with it some power outages (this time, only 300 or so) and some 40 mph winds. But people, like one official weather observer, seem to be more receptive to this storm than the last one. Says the weather observer, "It's a nice, average January winter storm, and as storms go in January, I think we're very fortunate." [27 East]
