When $3.39M Modern Homes Replace Simple '50s Cottages

On a chunk of waterfront land once inhabited by the diminutive 1950s cottage show right now stands this streamline modern home. The 3,300-square-foot home was finished about a year ago by local Green builders Peter Sabbeth and wife Melissa Green. (Sabbeth just partnered with builder Joe Farrell to build high-end green homes.) With these guys at the helm, it's unsurprising that the finished product, which includes three bedrooms, is almost as green as they come. Included in the home's design are ethanol fireplaces, duel flush toilets, and straw insulation. Hay: not just for horses! The property, which was once listed for $3.85 million, is now available for a greener $3.39 million.
