Bedell Cellars Wins at The New York Wine & Food Classic

New, 2 comments

Have you heard of the New York Wine & Food Classic? It's like the Hampton Classic, but with a lot less horses and a lot better food. Either way, Bedell Cellars made quite a showing this year, winning in the "Best Red Wine" category for its 2008 Cabernet Franc. According to sommeliers, the Cabernet in question "exhibits a nose of lavender and cranberry to complement its juicy mouthfeel, firm tannins, and flavors of cherry and fresh herbs." No wonder it won over the judges! The last few cases of the winning wine will go first to the winery's club members, and then to its tasting room and some select restaurants.
