People in Glass Houses

A recently listed shingle-style cottage on Jobs Lane in Bridgehampton will offer its future buyer a lot more than some clean lines and proximity to the beach. For $6.495 million, the house actually comes with a neat glass-enclosed walkway (shown right), which connects the main house to a private guest wing. Just don't throw stones in it! According to records, the 4,500-square-foot house was built in '04 by its current owner on a one-acre flag lot, which was picked up around the same time for about $2 million. [Saunders]
