There are perks to having a successful architect double as your father—just ask interior designer Blanche Williams, who has certainily reaped the benefits. In 2002, Williams and her husband, Jim, purchased an ideal plot of land near the Accabonac Preserve. Problem was the couple couldn't quite envision their perfect beach house. But that's where architect/dad John Millard Jr. comes in: Millard drafted a 10,000-square-foot Georgian-style estate with everything his daughter could want, including a "staircase that she had dreamt about as a child." And then he gave her the plans as a christmas present, you know, free of charge! To reward his act of kindness, the couple now lets dad stay in the Hamptons house "for weeks at a time."
