According to Post, Jay Flagg, who has managed Prudential Elliman's Southampton office for years, was recently ousted over a confrontation with chairman Howard Lorber regarding an advertisement. Apparently, Lorber was peeved that the ad was a little too much Flagg and not enough Prudential. Some contend that the skirmish, and the subsequent shakeup, actually stem from an age-old "personality clash between Lorber and Flagg," especially since CEO Dottie Herman already approved the ad. A Prudential spokesperson, however, prefers to say that the whole ordeal is simply a matter of brand standards. But that's totally not as scandalous. Flagg will remain with Pru as a broker.
