Farmers Fury

Phew! After days of agony and uncertainty, the East Hampton Farmers Market has received word that it'll be able to stay put for the rest of the summer! How'd things get sorted out? The market manager joined forces with a local nonprofit, Project Most, which—unlike Nick & Toni's—is able to file for a mass gathering permit. That said, the Town Board still holds that people "shouldn’t blame the board, they should blame the code." Ahem, but that code didn't just write itself. [EH Press; previously]
