In the August 2010 Issue, the editors of Architectural Digest decide to round-up 14 houses that "defy convention." Is anybody surprised that architect Preston T. Phillips' Bridgehampton compound makes the cut? We certainly aren't! After all, pretty much everything about this house, from the composition to the lack of doors—the house only has two—is unconventional. As such, after poking through the gallery, you still might find yourself unsure of this place. What is it (and is it related to this house)? Well, according to an older AD article, that red-and-yellow block houses the mainhouse, while the blue pyramidal structure houses a studio.
