Former Gardiner Estate Looks Good with The Lights Off

The former Gardiner Estate on Main Street in East Hampton had us at $29 million. It's epic renovation and remarkable history tickled us too. But something strange happens when the sun sets out East. Like a moth to a flame, we find ourselves even more entranced with the 1930s showplace. Wondering why? Yup, it's because this place lights up like Disney World at nighttime. (In a good way!) Under normal circumstances, fuchsia mood lighting might look tacky; here, it works. But in case you think otherwise, there are solutions galore!

For the more subdued evening, the future homeowner can turn it down a bit with a traditional ambient pool lighting scheme. Developer Shahab Karmley really thought of everything!
