Afternoon Delight

For some, the "modestly scaled" Driftwood on the Ocean co-op is "far too understated." For others, like furniture designer Lilian Bakhash, the cozy atmosphere is just right. And when multiple adjoining units hit the market for $280k, Bakhash snatched them up to create a 1,500-square-foot "sun factory," as she likes to call it. Sadly, despite the cool '50s look, the "anti-big houses" decorator still believes "if [her husband] was with another woman, [he'd] have a big house." [NYT]
