With the annual Chefs & Champagne party fast approaching, many of the East End's top chefs took the time to sound off on their favorite Hamptons restaurants (other than their own joints, of course). So which eateries were most popular? La Fondita fared very well, receiving winning remarks from Robbin Haas of the Montauk Yacht Club's Gulf Coast Kitchen and Jason Weiner of Bridgehampton's Almond. Says Weiner: "For a great post-beach snack, nothing beats the tongue tacos at La Fondita." Another chef favorite was The North Fork Table & Inn in Southold. Weiner adds: "For a special occasion, North Fork Table and Inn is my favorite spot." Other top picks included Gosman's Dock, Duryea's, Almond, and Pierre's.
