A Survey of the East End's Hotel Market

New, 1 comment

There's been a lot of buzz surrounding the East End's hotel market these days—it's hard to keep up! So let's run through what's for sale, what's not, and exactly what Ralph has to do with it.

Inn at Quogue—After much controversy and compromise, Developer Rocco Lettieri finally gained approval to develop the inn's property into four new single-family homes. Lettieri will renovate and redevelop the circa 1800s inn into a single-family home as well.

American Hotel—Big ponies headed for Sag Harbor! That's what the NY Daily News reports at least, explaining that Ralph Lauren is looking to convert the American Hotel into his newest flagship store. Although Mr. Lauren's PR guy says there is no truth behind the media blitz, we hear it's definitely "up for discussion."

Surfside Inn—After a story in the Post sent Montauk locals into a tizzy, the Surfside Inn's owner tells the EH Star that the hotel is not for sale and, more importantly, is not going anywhere. God save The End!
