Two Trees Farm Faces Dwindling Interest in Commercial Polo

New, 1 comment

The Observer recently sat down with developer David Walentas to discuss Two Trees Farm, the $95 million home of Bridgehampton Polo that he and his wife have marketed for the past 21 months. At 115-acres, the property can support a 19-lot subdivision—the result of Walentas' 10 year battle against the Town of Southampton. And while such a subdivision would likely mean the end of the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge at Two Trees, it might be the property's best angle. After all, the Observer notes that interest in "the polo-palooza that is the Mercedes-Benz Challenge" has dwindled. (How anyone could tire of watching Michael Lohan and Jon Gosselin guzzle champagne is beyond us.) Either way, we—like the Walentas—hope someone "will buy the land and love it" just as much as they do.
