What You Need To Know About The Hamptons Restaurant Shuffle

New, 3 comments

As we turn our clocks ahead this weekend, we can't help but look forward to summer and the always-changing Hamptons restaurant scene. What's new, what's moved and what's rumored for 2010? Here's a quick rundown of what we know so far.

NYC restaurant chain Serafina is opening a East Hampton outlet in the former Matto location on North Main Street. Also in East Hampton, The Lodge has closed and will be replaced by a new restaurant from the owner of NY's 41 Greenwich Cafe. The Lodge's Michael Gluckman is then shuffling over to the old Bostwick's space to open The Boathouse, while Bostwick's owners are combining concepts and heading to their Cherrystones location to create Bostwick's Chowder House. Meanwhile, newcomer Navy Beach is opening at the old Sunset Saloon spot on the beach in Montauk. Finally, the restaurant formerly known as Wei Fun in East Hampton will have a “new restaurant name and concept to be launched within the next six weeks," according to a Facebook posting. More shuffling to come.
