The Southampton village mayor is proposing a smoking ban in different outdoor areas including Windward Way Park, Downs Family Park, the playground section of Agawam Park, and Coopers. If all goes the mayor's way, the ban on butts will be in place by summer and violators could face a $1,000 fine and 14 days in jail. [27east]
