The numbers are in and the much-talked about Sea Spray auction brought in a total of $827,000--a more than $300,000 increase from last year. Biggest price jump? A three-bedroom unit started at $55,000, but almost doubled in price to close at $100,000. On the flip side, a one-bedroom attached cottage saw no bump at all and ended up at its $30,000 asking price. 24 bidders went in on the action, with 2 previous tenants winning the final bidding. No word on the identities of the newest oceanfront residents.
