The precariously-placed Captain Kidd's Path home in Montauk is getting a ton of attention, and not just from the media! In an update from East Hampton Patch, word arrives that a local house moving company is "feverishly" trying to restore the home's foundation. Apparently the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation swiftly issued all the "necessary emergency permits" to expedite the process. Looks like this whole ordeal's going to be a race against the clock, especially since another "four to five feet" of sand eroded since yesterday. [EH Patch]
