Bridge Home Looks to Double Its Neighbor's Sale Price

New, 5 comments

On Rose Way in Bridgehampton sits this perfectly normal $7.995 million gambrel-style colonial. The house comes with all the standard amenities (standard, for the Hamptons at least), including a gunite pool, 1.5 acres of land, and a quiet cul de sac location. But behind this facade is a more interesting story! A couple of months ago, a post-modern home only two doors down sold for $3.6 million—half as much as this place is asking. Thing is, the house shown above is much more substantial and appealing than the house that just sold. Except the other house does have ocean views and a little bit more land. No matter how this one plays out, we know what the new neighbors will be talking about.
