Sagg's Erosion Tax Officially Starts Eroding Your Wallet

That erosion district we told you about earlier? It's coming true! The East Hampton Star reports that the Southampton Town Board agreed to make a special erosion control tax district in Sagaponack. The tax will only apply to the gang of Sagg residents who live on the ocean, and will be calculated based off two factors: a home's assessed value and its "linear footage of waterfront." Finally, a reason why it sucks to be David Tepper! The tax revenue will go directly to Sagg's beaches, either for upkeep or preventative measures (think snow fences). Oh, and the oceanfront "residents will have full control of the expenses in the district." Where and when residents will make those decisions we do not know. But with Sagg residents, we're sure it'll be a colorful discussion!
