East Hampton has a looming $30 million deficit, so maybe people should sympathize with its decision to sell off some waterfront parkland? But if that's the case, a group of locals—including a Boy Scout troop leader—have a weird way of showing it (i.e., with a lawsuit). The group is suing because the Town violated a whole list of acts and rules before marketing the $2 million plot of land (listing here). Says one plaintiff: "We are saddened that it has come to this. We didn’t want to sue the town, but we felt that we had no choice." Scouts honor! [EH Star; previously]
