According to his PR folks, resto-blogger Bruce Buschel (the man who almost named his restaurant Dogwinkle) will finally open his long-chronicled new restaurant debut, Southfork Kitchen tomorrow. Just a few weeks shy of the end of the season.
No matter, the "beautiful farm-to-table restaurant in a farmhouse setting" will be serving the seasonal cuisine of ex-Harbour chef Joe Isidori (see how he was hired) that will highlight the wares from "local purveyors, farmers, fishers and the like out on the North and South forks." Local fish, veggies, beer, wine. See their website here and read Buschel's new sad blog post, where he seems depressed that the opening drama is over and writes, "There was a time, not so long ago, I swear it, when my gait had some hippity-hop and my voice was certain, if sardonic, and without a stammer. Those days are gone and sorely missed." Aw.
