James Nicholson's government-sold home is officially the highest priced sale in the Hamptons so far this year. The Feds took a sizable chop to sell the home for $25.9 million (it was listed for $33 million) after the financier was arrested on fraud charges last spring. A bidding war ensued between two potential buyers in mid-August, and the price was haggled up from an initial offer of $23.5 million. [SH Press; previously]
