1) The fourth annual Flying Point 10K for Autism Awareness set up in Southampton this weekend, bringing out runners and 'fun walkers' alike. Before this year, the event had raised 'more than $40,000 for the Cody Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities', and more donations from pledgers, walkers and runners who came out on Sunday were expected. 2) Amazingly, no one was injured when a small plane crashed in front of Rick's Crabby Cowboy Cafe in Montauk on Saturday. The Cessna overshot the runway and plowed through fences on East Lake Drive before finally coming to a rest at the restaurant. Strangely enough, this is the second such accident in six months at the Montauk Airport. In March, an instructor and student escaped a plane that had veered off the runway and burst into flames.
