Picking an East End village to buy in is only hard if you don't have a premonitory dream beforehand. Such is the story of San Franciscan Paul Rogers, who had a dream a few years back about walking home from the John Jermain Library in Sag Harbor. This meant only one thing: he should buy a home walking distance from the library. And that he did, painstakingly renovating this hilltop whaler's cottage using as much of the existing materials as possible. The result is this charming, candy-colored abode, that both respects its elders and is refreshingly new. Most importantly, this is Rogers' dream home, natch.
