Sag Harbor's beloved Bay Street Theatre is rolling out a massive appeal in hopes of getting some much needed financial support for the 18 year old theater company. Mailboxes around the Hamptons should soon find solicitations for donations for the not-for-profit organization which 'stress that the unprecedented step was dictated by the gravity of the situation.' In order to stay in business, Bay Street needs to make up some of its lost funds from poor ticket sales and few donations, both of which were down owing to, what else, the economy. [SH Press]
