1) Jon Bon Jovi was at it again, taking his holiday weekend traveling roadshow around the Hamptons. Much like his Fourth of July performance, last Friday, the rock star/restauranteur played an impromptu set at the Blue Parrot, and then headed east to hop on stage at the Stephen Talkhouse where friend Southside Johnny was playing. We'll wager Memorial Day 2010 at the Parrot should see a 'Wanted' rendition or two. [BlogHamptons]
2) Trader Joe's has some fierce proponents on the East End, with a (facebook) group calling themselves the 'Trader Joe’s Riverhead, NY Location Request Group' hawking petitions to get the grocery store to move east. Though the company claims to not have any plans to open in Riverhead soon, the group organizer claims Joe's reps have been scouting the area for a new location. [SH Press]
3) School's back in session, and with the change in season comes a change in location for the Hayground Farmers Market. The Bridgehampton Historical Society will now be home to the 15 or so farmers who set up each Friday afternoon, beginning tomorrow through October 30th. [SH Press]
4) The family of restaurants under the Nick & Toni's umbrella, including La Fondita and Townline BBQ, have adopted their yearly winter hours already. Both La Fondita and Nick & Toni's are now closed Monday and Tuesday, and Townline BBQ is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Shed a tear, the summer is officially over. [CurbedWire]
