Top 10: Best Spots for a Late Night Bite

New, 2 comments

Welcome to the latest offering from the Curbed Hamptons Listage Department, where everyone loves a good countdown. A tipster has alerted us to the fact that Amagansett's Astro Pizza is now open really late, like 3am late. (Take that, Mezzaluna.) In light of this awesome revelation, we bring you the best of the noctural crowd - the restaurants who ignore tradition and don't roll down their proverbial gates at 11pm. Here now, the best spots for a late night bite...

10) The Restaurant: Georgica, Wainscott
Weekend Hours: No set closing time
The Skinny: Restaurant becomes decidedly more loungish as the night wears on, but Hesse & Levine's food is worth the sometimes inane crowd.

9) The Restaurant: Barracuda Bar & Turtle Lounge, Montauk
Weekend Hours: Until Midnight
The Skinny: Solid bar bites from the MYC's many restaurants come with impressive harbor views.

8) The Restaurant: Ziggy's, Bridgehampton
Weekend Hours: Until 2am
The Skinny:Margarita specials start at 11am and the extensive, varied menu carries through the night. Good times ensue.

7) The Restaurant: Copa, Bridgehampton
Weekend Hours: Until 3am
The Skinny: Despite a late start, the tapas served until 3am has received decent reviews, offering something of the more exotic persusion.

6) The Restaurant: Runaways
Weekend Hours: Until 2am
The Skinny: Montauk's 'Killer Mexican', cheap eats with a paired-down late night menu to accompany 'killer margaritas'. Blue Parrot's biggest competition?

5) The Restaurant: Matto, East Hampton
Weekend Hours: Until 2am
The Skinny: Late-night pizza bar and lounge after 10:30pm, with solid menu options well after dinner service. Brought to you by the former Cipriani crowd.

4) The Restaurant: Cittanuova, East Hampton
Weekend Hours: Until midnight
The Skinny: Italian fare served into the night, with drink specials between 11pm and midnight, check Twitter (!) for more info.

3) The Restaurant:The Blue Parrot, East Hampton
Weekend Hours: Unlisted, but birdies say 2am
The Skinny: Oh those dirty-bird margaritas and guacamole, plus a few other offerings and a chance at an impromptu Bon Jovi concert. Obviously, its authenticity is debatable.

2) The Restaurant: The Corner Bar, Sag Harbor
Weekend Hours: No set closing time
The Skinny: Solid burgers, sandwiches and tons of beers at this Sag Harbor staple just off the docks. Serving Hamptonites since '78.

1) The Restaurant: Astro Pizza, Amagansett
Weekend Hours: Until 3am or the dough runs out.
The Skinny:Slice or pie. At 3am, who among us doesn't really want pizza.
