1) Friday night, Alec Baldwin and the Hamptons International Film Festival hosted a screening of It Might Get Loud at Guild Hall. The Davis Guggenheim documentary follows little-known guitarists like The Edge, Jimmy Page and Jack White in hopes of finding the secret to electric guitar world domination. Guggenheim is best known for his Oscar-winning doc with Al Gore, An Inconvenient Truth. [HIFF]

2) Donna Karan hosted a shopping/cocktail party at her Urban Zen store in Sag Harbor for jewelry designers Einat Agassi and Tamar Harel-Klein on Friday night. With co-hosts Richard Gere and Jeff and Isabelle Gordon, Karan hoped to send a portion of the proceeds to the American Friends of Beit Issie Shapiro and the Urban Zen Foundation. [Agas & Tamar]
3) Colson Whitehead read from his most recent novel, Sag Harbor, at the BookHampton in, of course, Sag Harbor, on Saturday night. The reading was almost squashed by an unfortunate grilling incident, according to the author's Twitter. [Twitter]
