5) The Max Cure Foundation’s first Roar for a Cure carnival sets up this weekend, with proceeds benefitting two local families battling pediatric cancer. Saturday, 2-6pm. Rain date Sunday. 3) The Best Buddies Hamptons Gala takes place this weekend at the home of Anne Hearst and Jay McInerney. The volunteer organization, founded by Anthony Kennedy Shriver, works to create opportunities for people with intellectual and development disabilities.
