1) Coming Soon: 'The Art of Fashion in the Hamptons', an exhibit at East Hampton's Guild Hall featuring vignettes by inspired by the East End from some of American fashion's biggest names. Tory Burch, Betsey Johnson, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Reed Krakoff, Ralph Lauren, Nicole Miller, Elie Tahari, and Vera Wang have all created displays about one aspect of Hamptons life using art, objects and their own designs. The exhibit opens to the public this Saturday (through October 18th) with a gallery talk and a book signing with curator Pamela Fiori and some of the designers. [EH Star]

2) An upside to the sad state of the Hamptons' retail scene: Thrift stores are thriving! The Press reports that with the downturn, East End second-hand shops are seeing steady business and no decline in donations, while designer items continue to pour in. Happy hunting...[SH Press]
3) Locavores unite! Hamptons Magazine offers up a list of some of the best interior décor items made and sold on the East End. Among the local products: an impressive, sea-urchin inspired chandelier by Helen Gifford of Bridgehampton. [Hamptons]
