While East Hampton Town beach permits are still being forged at an alarming rate, now permit theft is being added to the police logs. Beachgoers trying to avoid paying the $325 fee for a town sticker are going to new heights to create fakes, using such hardened criminal tools as 'wite-out' and laser printers. As cops troll parking lots and arrest counterfeiters, we now learn that designer/Dragon's Head owner Calvin Klein has become a victim in this mess. Klein's own beach permit was ripped off the window of his 2009 Porsche in East Hampton in the end of July. For shame. [NYP; previously]
