RackedWrap: Linus Bikes Ride East For the Summer

New, 1 comment

1) Linus Bikes of Venice Beach, CA has teamed up with Steven Alan in East Hampton to bring its classic bicycles to the east coast this summer. The new company touts its rides as 'chic, utilitarian and beachy' and are priced in the fairly reasonable $300 range - perfect for practicing your best Tour de France reenactment in the hills of Montauk. 2) American Apparel inches closer to the Hamptons with a new outpost set to open this summer in Riverhead. While commenters have already complained that this is not necessarily a 'hampton', it certainly will be the East End's only option for metallic jumpsuits and sweatbands in such vast quantities. [CH]
3) This week's Hamptons Magazine chats with designer Michael Kors, longtime visitor of the East End and new proprietor of a Main Street East Hampton shop. When asked about his own sartorial choices at the beach, Kors admitted to putting little effort into his look: 'I spend my days thinking about what other people are wearing; I don’t want to have to spend time on what I am.'
