On the (Art) Auction Block: Warhol's Michael Jackson Portrait

As LA prepares for his shitshow of shitshows funeral tomorrow, Vered Gallery in East Hampton is joining in on the Michael Jackson tribute parade. Many of you may remember gallery owner Ruth Vered from her unfortunate tiff with our police department last summer, but with that minor arrest behind her comes news of an auction, featuring none other than Andy Warhol's portrait of the King of Pop. Vered, ever the enterprising art dealer, got the painting on consignment from a private collector for her annual July auction. The 1984 piece is expected to fetch somewhere in the '$1 million to $10 million' range, so basically it could fetch anything. Bidding began on July 3rd and wraps up this Sunday.
