EaterWrap: Hesse Stays, Lohan & Co. Go to Red Bar, More!

1) The Hell's Kitchen mystery continues, as Chef Robert Hesse told Blog Hamptons yesterday that he would be staying on at Georgica for the foreseeable future. Hesse, a Quogue native himself, has long since filmed season six of the reality show, but was tight-lipped on his final status. A party at the restaurant on Saturday night will celebrate his return to Ramsay's lair. [Blog Hamptons]

2) The famewhore express just keeps adding cars. Fathers of the Year Michael Lohan and Jon Gosselin didn't stop at their lunch date on Jobs Lane, managing to pick up Housewife Jill Zarin along the way and have what had to be one of the most bizarre group dinners in the history of Red Bar last night. Around the table: Lohan and 'blonde' date, Jon and Star Magazine reporter date (yes!), Jill and Bobby Zarin, and the mayor of Southampton and his wife. [People]
3) Nick & Toni's has added a boatload of new dishes to its menu. The best of the new lot: a North Fork heirloom tomato salad with house-made mozzarella, basil, and balsamic reduction and a Marinated quail with Balsam Farms baby leeks, oyster mushroom, and spicy peach marmellata. 4) Bridgehampton's Almond is getting into the loca-cocktail act, revamping its drink menu with flavors from the bistro's backyard orchard. The likes of peaches, cherries, and apricots are being grown behind the restaurant to be added to drinks like 'the Apricot Sidecar Muddler, the Plum Sake Mojito, and a Peach Mint Julep'. Cheers.
