Meanwhile in the City

The One Beacon Court pad of Marc S. Dreier went on the block mere minutes ago, following the former lawyer's 20 year prison sentencing last week. While Dreier's two waterfront Quogue properties fell $2 million short of expectations when auctioned off last month, it remains to be seen if the 34th floor apartment he purchased for $10.4 million in 2007 will go for that much. The 'as is' sale comes with some edible welcoming gifts left by the former owner, namely a half-eaten raspberry peach pie and nine pints of Haagen Dazs ice cream. Somebody had a sweet tooth.
