Events: Happy Birthday, America! Love, The Hamptons...

The East End will be celebrating America along with the rest of...uh, America!...this weekend. Here's a little rundown of where to get your red, white and blue on.

Montauk: Grucci fireworks at Umbrella Beach on Saturday, 9pm.
Amagansett: Devon Yacht Club fireworks on Saturday, 9pm. Best view from Fresh Pond Beach.
Sag Harbor: Sag Harbor Yacht Club fireworks on Saturday, 9:30pm. Best views from Havens Beach, Marine Park, Long Wharf, or the harbor.
Southampton: Grucci fireworks over Shinnecock Bay on Friday, dusk. Best view from Coopers Beach.
North Sea: North Sea Fire Department fireworks in Great Peconic Bay on both Friday and Sunday nights, 9pm.
Westhampton Beach: Westhampton Country Club fireworks on Saturday, 9pm. Club is members only, but the fireworks are visible from most of the village.

Latecomers...
Shelter Island: The Shelter Island Chamber of Commerce fireworks on Saturday, July 11, at Crescent Beach, 9pm.
East Hampton: The Clamshell Foundation fireworks in Three Mile Harbor on Saturday, July 18, at 9pm. Donations are still needed to help cover the cost of the event, call (631) 324-6250 for more information.
East Hampton: Once again, the East Hampton Fire Department fireworks have been postponed until Labor Day. Display on Saturday, September 5, 8:30pm. Best views from Main Beach, Wiborg Beach and Georgica Beach.

Parades...
Southampton: Fourth of July Parade on Saturday at 10am. Runs from the railroad plaza to Windmill Lane.

Etc...
North Sea: North Sea Fire Department Annual Carnival. Wednesday, July 1, through Sunday, July 5, from 7-11 pm each night. Noyac Road near the Community House.
