Crime Alert: Two Arrested for Badly Faked Beach Permits

New, 1 comment

And now for bizarre Montauk crime trends: Two middle-aged women were arrested last week in separate incidents, both charged with faking town beach permits. The crime: a felony, formally known as second-degree possession of a forged instrument. Both were released on $500 bail. One of said parking criminals belonged to a ring of sorts, found when identified as the owner of one of three cars parked at Gin Beach with the same license plate number printed on each beach permit. The other confessed to copying her mother's permit and changing the license plate number. Vital question: How long before the beach permit black market is up and running out of Surf Lodge?
