1) Reggae returned to the South Fork this weekend, in what can only be described as a Jamaica-fication of the Hamptons. Following Stephen Marley's turn at Surf Lodge last weekend, Irie Winston played Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett on Saturday night. The Orthodoxy singer from Brooklyn followed indie rocker (and Coldplay-opener) PT Walkley's earlier set. [The Stephen Talkhouse]
2) The East End Photographers Group held a closing reception for "Collective Imagery" on Sunday evening. The week-long exhibit at Ashawagh Hall in East Hampton 'featured more than 20 photographers', whose work ranged from abstract local images to explorations of digital techniques and international subjects. 3) California girl Heather Locklear hit the Hamptons party circuit this weekend, attending the Beaches and Bays Gala for the Nature Conservancy. The Saturday night soirée at an East Hampton residence raised money to help the organization increase land and river protection, not unlike our own Peconic Land Trust.
